MORE THAN 1,000 FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS
Festival Previews 2010 Season with Launch of New ATV Track
(Huntington, New York – December 2, 2009) – Each year, generations of current and former campers gather together at the West Hills Day Camp’s Fall Festival. This year’s event – which drew a record attendance of more than 1,000 friends and family members – featured such seasonal fun as a really scary haunted house, trick or treating at special on-campus houses, inflatable bouncers and slides, hay rides, and lots of good, old-fashioned treats to eat and drink.
GET ON THE BUS FOR WEST HILLS DAY CAMP’S 2010 GRAD CAMP
(Huntington, New York – November 30, 2009) – West Hills Day Camp is pleased to announce that it will be adding an innovative program called Grad Camp to the 2010 season. Selecting a college is one of the first important decisions young men and women will make about their futures. Grad Camp will help provide high school juniors and seniors with the knowledge they will need to select colleges that will best meet their individual needs and the tools they will need to successfully apply to the colleges of their choices – backed by the confidence of knowing that they have made the right decisions.
PLAINVIEW SWIMMER/WEST HILLS DAY CAMPER TRAINS WITH
OLYMPIC CHAMPION MICHAEL PHELPS
(Huntington, New York – November 24, 2009) – West Hills Day Camper and Plainview resident, Lauren Brandenstein, age nine, was selected by the camp’s senior leadership to attend a swim clinic featuring instruction by Michael Phelps – the winner of a record-setting eight gold medals in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Mr. Phelps has accumulated a total of 14 Olympic gold medals in his career. The swim clinic was held at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park.
