CIT’s

In addition to our very successful Teen Tour Programs, we provide a special Counselor-In-Training Program for campers who will be entering grades 8-10 in September 2011.

C.I.T. ‘s entering 8th and 9th grade:

A camper enrolled as a C.I.T. who is entering 8th or 9th grade will assist and participate at one or more of the many specialist activities, clerical areas or divisional placements.  They will be divided into two groups with one group working in the morning while the other group is enjoying activities under the supervision of a group leader and two counselors. The split group will then switch roles in the afternoon.

C.I.T.’s entering 10th grade:

C.I.T.’s who are entering 10th grade will have the opportunity to experience the duties and responsibilities of a camp counselor by assisting in camp groups.  They will work with children whose ages will range from tots (3 yr olds) to campers entering 3rd grade.

It is our hope that someday our C.I.T Assistants will return to West Hills as regular employees in our ever-expanding programs.  This is a special program and can only accommodate a limited number of applicants on a first come first served basis.

  • PARTICIPATION IN THE C.I.T PROGRAM IS FOR THE FULL EIGHT WEEKS.  THERE ARE NO SHORTER PROGRAMS AVAILABLE.
  • The tuition is $4,000 for those campers entering 8th and 9th grades, and $3,800 for campers entering 10th grade.
  • A deposit of $400 is required upon registration:

-          $300 is fully refundable up to March 1, 2011

-          $100 is non-refundable.

  • Program includes door-to-door transportation, lunch, snacks, and 3 C.I.T. shirts. Special activities, such as a late night, & two off-camp trips are provided throughout the summer.

NOTE: COMPLETION OF THE C.I.T PROGRAM DOES NOT GUARANTEE FUTURE EMPLOYMENT.

NO DISCOUNTS OR EARLY BIRD RATES ARE AVAILABLE ON REGISTRATION FOR THIS SPECIAL PROGRAM
