Pre-School for Three, Four, & Five Year Old Campers...
In the tradition of concern and accommodation, West Hills always strives to meet the needs of our parents and campers. Our Pre-School Program was designed specifically for those families who seek an exceptional camp experience and demand a full and balanced program of activities for their young child.
We are sure you will be impressed with the natural beauty of West Hills Day Camp, and that your child will benefit from the warmth and understanding of a caring qualified staff who will supervise your child during his/her total camp experience.
The Pre-School Program offers your 3, 4, or 5 year old a program that is specifically designed to meet the needs of the very young child, by providing a rich and diverse environment, including “The Happy Bookworm” which is a literacy program that makes reading fun! This program takes place at least one period per week for ages 3 to 7.
5 Year Olds (entering Kindergarten in September 2011):
- Boys and Girls are grouped separately.
- Children attend camp 5 full days per week.
3 & 4 Year Olds (not entering Kindergarten in September 2011):
- Nursery Boys and Girls are grouped together.
- Children may attend camp for a full day – either 5 days or 3 days (Tues. – Thurs)
- A Mini-Day program is also available 5 days per week (9:25am to 1:20pm) – parent pick-up is required for the Mini-Day. Bus service is provided to camp only.
Program Details:
West Hills Day Camp offers your child a full balanced program of both educational and recreational activities. Under the supervision of a professional, your child’s activities will include:

For children ages 18-30 months and their parent or designated guardian
- Quality fun and instructional time between parent and child
- A forum in which parents exchange ideas, techniques and tips
- Youngsters enhance their all-important socialization skills

The Happy Bookworm Specialists along with camp counselors will lead your day.
Daily Schedule:
10:05-10:40 Meet & Greet in Playground and Happy Bookworm Class
10:45-11:20 Camp Activities which may include: Fishing & Boating, Playground, Jr. Zipline,
Arts & Crafts, Sporting Activities
11:25-12:00 Swim and Waterslide for parent & child
12:05-12:40 Lunch/Closing Circle Time
A $250 per child non-refundable deposit is required. Final balance is due by April 1, 2011. Any change of
enrollment must be approved by WH Director. No make-up days or refunds.
